You know what, I have no idea where to start. Recently I've danced almost everyday. New dresses: All spruced up. Friends: incredible like always. Mood = Happy.

Love the illustration!

Done with the concept for our first photoshoot. Got the location. Still working on the mood-board. Still selecting the clothes. Contacted the model and looking forward to working with her very very much. We're amateurs therefore preparation is key.

Back to practice next week.

See ya and hopefully with some great news.

Mackenzie Drazan took my breath away

Saw a picture of this girl from http://vintagepeople.tumblr.com and was struck by her beauty. There's something in those eyes that is irresistibly attractive.

Hair Hair Hair

Never has my hair been a big concern of mine like it is right now.

It’s fluffy - Love it or hate it, you’ll still stare at it (or me), rite?

Anyway, move on to other things.

1. The first Vietnam Superstars Festival was a highlight of January, besides my birthday or course lol. Facts: terrible lighting, tracks were played in the wrong orders, dancers took too much time to get ready...But since it was the first big show-dance event ever in Vietnam (for Ballroom dancing), those mishaps were accepted. And yes, we were too eager to pay attention on anything other than THE DANCING. Beautiful and emotional performances, fabulous outfits I must say. Khánh Thi stood out as always, she was truly a star with such an amazing talent and an undeniable presence. We dancers met up later on Sunday, had hot-pot out on the street at literally midnight.

2. I got a couple of new books (mostly classics) and can't wait to read (or live in) them all :). The feeling of going into a book store alone and picking up these gorgeous babies is simply cheerful. I bought "Fly over the cuckoo's nest" (in Vietnamese), "Wuthering Heights" (in English - I've read the Vietnamese version two times) and "To kill a mocking bird" (in English - I was reading it once then lost the book, a total nonsense reason to skip reading a classic).

3. Been getting up so late in the morning. Grrr.

4. Started practising again. Finished a new Rumba routine. Practising just makes my body and my mind feel beyond good!!!!

22 years and 5 days

I’m wearing a pair of over-the-knee socks even when I’m at home now, feeling terribly comfy and warm. That’s something I don’t normally do so it is definitely a highlight for today.
I’ve been treating myself very well lately. Of course there are moody moments/stupid conversations and agitating periods but overall I’ve managed to do what I like with ones I adore. Still have the passion, still have the love, still dance barefoot in front of the mirror. I’m growing older each day wondering if I’m getting any wiser, but in a positive way. I’m learning to treasure myself more, be happy with my flaws and spend more time to care for the dearest people in my life instead of fidgeting about non-practising days. I just turned 22 last Wednesday, one day I’ll get wrinkles and be reading fairy tales for my child/children. And that’s life, even when you resist to be cliché, cliché comes get you. I just feel like I don’t need to try hard to be different from the rest, because I already am.
And now these are the things I did today (which is a freezing cold yet lovely Saturday)
- Got up late yet still didn’t get enough sleep because last night I spent 2 hours re-arranging my wardrobe then buried myself in the warmest blanket in the world reading “Pride and prejudice” (Read it so long time ago that I didn’t remember a thing)
- Cooked and ate alone. Then Mom came home. Cooked or her. Felt like the luckiest girl in the world because Mom always prepares something nice before she leaves in the morning.
- Housework. Talked to Mom. Got a nap. Got ready for our little date (with my buddies).
- Picked up Minh Xinh and three of us went eat grilled stuff on the street then had beautiful creamy coffee at a cosy place in the Old Quarter. Laughed too much.
- Went home, currently playing around and re-arranging my clothes (still have a messy pile of clothes left from yesterday. Blogging/Chatting/Music. Better concentrate on the wardrobe, will write later.
Good night!
